About the Trustee
Derin Mahmood is an accomplished educator and Special Educational Needs (SEN) specialist with over 20 years of professional experience working with children and youth. Based in Norway, she has dedicated her career to inclusive education, specializing in literacy support and interventions for students with learning difficulties, particularly dyslexia.

Professional Leadership & Experience
Derin currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Follow Dyslexia Organization in Norway. Here extensive background includes the following:
Special Education Supervision: Designing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Providing Academic Interventions for Students with Literacy Challenges.
Pedagogical Training: Conducting international workshops and "Training of Trainers" (ToT) programs to raise teaching standards.
School Management: Years of experience in library management, youth mentorship, and teaching the Kurdish language.
